"Fonemoney Sathma, 1 Crore Hathma" Campaign

"Fonemoney Sathma, 1 Crore Hathma" is a six-month mega campaign where every week, one lucky user will have their remittance amount doubled. The excitement peaks at the end of the sixth month with one grand prize winner taking home 1 Crore Korean Won.
Participating in the campaign is simple. Users can send money from Korea to Nepal using the Fonemoney App. The remitted amount can be sent straight to the recipient's bank account, cash pick-up points, or directly deposited into their eSewa wallet, ensuring convenience and accessibility for all participants.

Campaign Period

  • The Campaign will run from July 21, 2024, 12:01 AM (Korean Time) to December 31, 2024, 11:59 PM (Korean Time), both days inclusive.

Eligibility

  1. The Campaign is open to all verified Fonemoney users who are Nepalese migrant workers residing in South Korea.
  2. Participants must be at least 18 years old.
  3. Employees of Fonemoney and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Campaign.

Participation

  1. To participate in the Campaign, users must send remittances through the Fonemoney app during the Campaign Period.
  2. The Campaign is valid on international remittance transactions sent from South Korea to Nepal.
  3. The Campaign is valid on transactions made through all modes: Cash, Bank, and eSewa Wallet.
  4. Each remittance transaction made through the Fonemoney app during the Campaign Period automatically qualifies the user for the weekly and grand prize draws.

Prizes

  1. Weekly Prize: Each week, one eligible participant will have their remittance amount doubled, with a maximum limit of KRW 1,000,000. For example, if a winner remits KRW 250,000, they will receive KRW 500,000; if a winner remits KRW 800,000, they will receive KRW 1,000,000 (the maximum limit).
  2. Grand Prize: At the end of the Campaign, one eligible participant will win 1 Crore Korean Won (approximately 10 lakh Nepali Rupees).
  3. Minimum Ticket Size: To be eligible for the grand prize of 1 Crore Korean Won, participants must remit a minimum of NPR 25,000 in a single transaction. There is no minimum ticket size for the weekly prize.

Winner Selection

  1. Weekly Prize: Winners will be selected randomly from the pool of eligible participants each week. Winners will be announced every Monday at 7 PM Korean time through Facebook and TikTok live.
  2. Grand Prize: The grand prize winner will be selected randomly from the pool of all eligible participants at the end of the Campaign. The winner will be announced on January 5, 2025. 
  3. Winners will be notified via their registered contact details within 7 days of the draw. 6.4. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Fonemoney reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner.

Prize Distribution

  • Prizes will be credited to the winners' Fonemoney accounts or provided via other suitable means as determined by Fonemoney. 7.2. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or other items.

General Conditions

  1. Fonemoney reserves the right to disqualify any participant if the transaction is not completed as per the campaign T&Cs or engaged in fraudulent activities.
  2. Fonemoney reserves the right to modify the Campaign at any time without prior notice.
  3. Fonemoney’s decisions in all matters relating to the Campaign are final and binding.

Publicity

  • By participating in the Campaign, participants agree to the use of their names, images, and likenesses for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Limitation of Liability

  • Fonemoney will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Campaign or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prizes.

Data Privacy

  • Participants' personal information will be used in accordance with Fonemoney's Privacy Policy and for the purposes of administering this Campaign.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Korea. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this Campaign will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Korea.
